Daddy's horse, Grace, had her first foal the day before Mother's Day. Daddy had already told Mama she could possibly have Grace's baby and Mama said she thought he was a mighty good Mother's Day present. So far, he doesn't have a name.
The first day when we drove up to see the him, he was taking a siesta and didn't even bother to get up and see what was going on until we had driven right up next to him. Then he hopped up and Grace quickly herded him away from us. She's naturally a little stand-offish, but especially now with her first baby. But she'll settle down after a little while.
My horse, Dolly, is due to have her baby any time now. Her belly is so big! I know she'll be happy when her baby is finally born. Every year she has been bred to a sorrel stud and has had a sorrel baby{the same red color as her}. This year she is bred to a black and white stud and I'm really looking forward to seeing what color baby she has.
